Staff Stories

As a new staff member coming from the public schools, I am astonished at how much care and attention is given to students who are having difficulty with either academics or behavior. In public schools, these children are simply sent to the principal or removed. At Christel House, a team of teachers meets weekly and discusses strategies for helping these students succeed. By building personal relationships and following up with these students throughout each week of the school year, these students are not allowed to fall through the cracks, and they are given multiple opportunities and the tools they need to become successful students. This attention to detail and commitment to student success is only one facet among many that distinguishes Christel House Academy from other schools.
